Fleet Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for a Fleet Specialist for the OMODA/JAECOO brand to work in the fleet department and ensure that Chery tenders are completed efficiently and productively. To succeed in this role, the Fleet Specialist must help develop fleet sales for Chery.

The candidate must effectively negotiate in tenders to maximize approvals on RT57 contracts for supplying Chery vehicles to government institutions, car rental companies, and corporate fleet clients. Additionally, they will be responsible for negotiating tender pricing for CSA.

Finally, the candidate will ensure that their area of responsibility meets the requirements of our business targets, exceeds expectations, and contributes to the long-term success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Motivate and support the team in their networking efforts.

Build and strengthen ongoing, long-term customer relationships with government, rental, and corporate fleet clients.

Plan and participate in Chery's preferred activities, such as product launches, factory visits, etc., to introduce the Chery SA brand and products.

Develop and implement tender strategies to maximize opportunities for securing the best approvals on RT57 contracts for vehicle supply to the government, and negotiate annual tender pricing with the CSA administrative management to ensure the best outcomes for CSA.

Forecast annual sales volume by model and vehicle type to ensure the company maintains the correct inventory to support government, rental, and corporate fleet sales, while managing forecasts and inventory availability.

Take responsibility and accountability for creating business opportunities, as well as achieving and exceeding annual targets.

Assist the finance department in managing accounts receivable by ensuring customers pay their account balances on time, and resolve vehicle issues with dealers, the fleet, and customer service departments.

Be responsible for contract compliance, along with adherence to specified processes and guidelines.

Ensure that government, rental, and corporate fleet administrative teams provide timely support for processing vehicle orders, tracking, and the final delivery of invoices to customers through weekly monitoring meetings.

Implement the "Fleet by Dealer Strategy" for the sales network and conduct various dealer visits to inspect fleet sales and marketing activities.

Any additional tasks assigned by senior management.

Requirements

3 years of proven work experience in a similar role.

Automotive industry experience is essential (a non-negotiable requirement).

Matric qualification.

A post-school university degree (BCom) in a related field is required.

A valid and active driver's license.
